About Rain98

Rain98 is a Lo-Fi psychological suspense game that just put its free demo on Steam (October 16-17, 2026) - the demo drop is exactly why the name is trending. The full game is planned for 2026 on PC via Steam, with console plans unspecified.

The setup: from today's Tokyo to 1998 Tokyo, you live with Reina Amehara (voiced by Rio Tsuchiya), a girl who dubs herself Angolmois and longs to see the world end. You talk with her, handle her requests, and journey together through a rainy Tokyo - all while carrying forward the ritual to end the world.

The loop is quiet and sinister at once: doing special things for Reina earns stickers for her Angel Passport, which progresses the ritual - building enough shared past that there is no future to come. Money matters too, because ending the world is a costly affair; you work to fund the countdown.

How Rewards Work in Rain98

1. Rain98 is a premium single-player indie - there is no code redemption system.
2. The free demo is downloaded directly from the Rain98 Demo page on Steam; nothing needs to be entered anywhere.
3. Any 'Rain98 codes' list is inventing content for a game that has nothing to redeem.

Beginner Guide: Start Smart in Rain98

Everything above is verified against how Rain98 actually works today. Here is how to start smart:

• Grab the free demo on Steam now - it is the only playable slice until the 2026 launch.
• Handle every request Reina makes; the mundane is where the story actually lives.
• Collect Angel Passport stickers deliberately - they are the ritual's progress bar.
• Work for money consistently; ending the world is a budgeted project in this game.

Playing the Free Demo

• The demo is live on Steam right now - search Rain98 Demo on the store; it is free and represents the game's opening chapters.
• Demo progress will not carry into the full game; play it as a preview of tone and systems, not a head start.
• The full release is still TBA within 2026 - wishlist the main page so the launch announcement finds you.

Living with Reina

• Requests are the relationship: handle whatever Reina asks - the story unfolds through the mundane, not around it.
• Special actions earn stickers for the Angel Passport, and stickers progress the ritual - the game's quiet objective.
• Talk to her constantly; this is a visual-novel-structured suspense where dialogue is the content.

Money, Ritual and Endings

• Ending the world is a costly affair - you work for money in the game, so budget the ritual like a project.
• The rainy Tokyo trips are the atmospheric spine; don't rush them, the mood is the point of Lo-Fi suspense.
• Expect multiple endings shaped by how much shared past you build - a game about ending the world rewards attention to the little things.

How to Get Free Rewards

• The demo IS the free reward - a zero-cost slice of the game ahead of the 2026 launch.
• No codes exist for Rain98; it is a premium single-player indie with nothing to redeem.
• Any 'Rain98 codes' page is inventing a system that does not exist - wishlist and wait instead.
